‘Lutein’, the yellow carotenoid pigment found in abundance in Marigold, has been found to be effective against colon cancer. Lutein, also found in HDL or good cholesterol, prevents LDL cholesterol from oxidizing and has been used to lower the risk of heart disease.
Lutein as a dietary supplement has been used to maintain good vision health. Marigold tincture is also excellent in healing burns, impetigo, and stings.
