Come experience “Gong Fu Cha”, the Ancient Art of Chinese Tea Brewing Ceremony. Let the Tea Goddess at Divine KapiTea introduce you to a therapeutic experience of moving meditation that would tease your senses and awaken your body, mind and spirit. Immerse yourself in a very relaxing ambience and enjoy a fun and enriching session that will help you appreciate tea drinking to a whole new level!

 

What is "Gong Fu Cha"?
What does the Tea Appreciation Cover?
  • It involves using fine, handmade utensils (miniature teapots and tiny cups) for making and drinking a perfect cup of tea

  • ​No rigid rules of ceremony or ritual

  • Emphasis on camaraderie, expressing care through the relationship between host and guest, & achieving a special meditative state open to the appreciation of the beauty surrounding the Art of Tea

  5.  Brew Tea like a Pro: Familiarization with the Tea Equipment

  6.   Hands-on Session: Moving meditation - Quietening your mind, tap in to your "chi" energy, promote the flow of life force through your body, mind, and soul.

  7. Tasting tea like a True Connoisseur: Tea Sampling

Option A:

  • Venue: Location of your choice within the Kapiti Coast (Additional transport cost for location in other parts of the Wellington region)

  • Duration: 2 hours

  • Total Cost: $250 (cost per head determined by the number of people in your group)

  • A wide selection of teas will be made available for sampling.

  • The session includes an interactive and educational tea workshop as well as a relaxing and therapeutic tea ceremony.

  • If you would like to have high tea or other food arrangements to be included (at additional cost), the tea ceremony can be conducted at a cafe in Paraparaumu.

 

Option B:

  • Venue: My humble abode in Paraparaumu

  • Duration: 2 hours

  • Total Cost: $120 (cost per head determined by the number of people in your group, maximum 6 people)
