Hops Tea has traditionally been recognised as an effective sleep aid and is known to be helpful in combating insomnia and anxiety. Hops Tea is also known to help build the supply of breast milk in breastfeeding women. Hops Tea contains plant estrogens, which may make it beneficial for those going through the menopause and can help with menstrual problems.

Hops Tea may also be useful for treating indigestion. Daily use of Hops Tea may help ease constipation, and detoxify the system by encouraging the body to eliminate waste products. Hops Tea may also help alleviate pain in bladder infections.

The tea has anti-inflammatory properties and may help combat arthritis. When applied topically, it may help relieve sores and skin injuries.

Often used with other herbs such as chamomile, peppermint, lemon grass or ginger.

Hops Tea

    Put 1 to 2 teaspoons of loose herbs per 6 to 8 oz of boiling water. cover tightly and steep for 5 to 10 minutes. For a more "medicinal" effect, steep 15 to 30 minutes. Strain and enjoy.
